Late 2000s I6, V6 or V8 convertible

First time poster. Hoping to benefit from your collective wisdom.
Not having a mid-life crisis at all but I have an itch to get a convertible and a combination of budget (less than £10,000) and prior experience (never owned more than a four pot) is leading me to look at 6 and 8 cylinder engines.
Keep coming back to the Audi S4 and the BMW 645/650 (which have both been extensively discussed - thanks).
Am I missing anything?

What would you go for?
If you want an auto then I'd recommend a Jaguar XK, though I've heard the 645ci is a fine car too.
If you want manual, then, as mentioned, the Boxster is hard to beat. BMW Z4 30i are cheap now and faster than a Boxster, if speed is your thing.
Some say the summer is not best time to buy a convertible, but I find more people want to sell their convertible in the summer (for the perceived higher value), so choice is better and competition is higher. I reckon if you wait a month there will be people feeling they've missed that magic summer slot and will do a better deal. or all the best cars will be gone already. Who knows? Not me.

As above, there's lots of options. I think you'd just about get a 370Z for that, which would be considerably newer (and probably more reliable) than a Boxster for the same money.
The Boxster is a better sportscar though, if you can find one with the various engine issues sorted.

I went in this direction with a slightly bigger budget with a 370Z Roadster. Both the 350Z and 370Z come highly recommended by me for sure. or the closely related 370Z convertible.

Yep it's a Skyline convertible they sold a fair amount of these in the states but it wasn't as popular over here, they did sell a decent number of the coupes though.Happy that I've learned my one new thing today.
