I was looking at them during lockdown. On the AUC site, they had a 16 model with 40k on the clock and the £12k impulse design option, for £42k
And Autotrader recently had a 17 plate Red special edition, again with 40k miles for £45k.
Post lockdown, everything currently appears to have £5k added
I think I’ve talked myself out of one, as it’d be my only car, and I’m not sure I could live with the boot space.

Depreciation seems linked as much to mileage as age and when I bought mine it seemed 15k covered the whole market excluding the LCI cars, which considering they started over 100k seems quite a narrow span. The options seem largely interior stuff like amount of leather, seat belt colour, HK stereo etc. and wheel choice. I went for an LCI as the infotainment is newer and car play becomes an official option, plus I prefer the flatter bonnet, but more power and the battery range is usefully larger, but they start high 50s.
Something to note,, the buy v trade in price gap seems to be enormous, bmw wanted a 10k margin on my car even though still under manufacturers warranty and service pack so their only cost to retail was a wash. I presume turnover is slow. If you’re happy to go this route a private seller might be quite good value.
