Another Which Laptop? question

[bmwmike]

Hi All

Eldest daughter is turning 11 and would like a laptop. She has asked for a windows one, so that rules out chromebooks etc. As she is going to high school in Sept she will need a laptop anyway.

Thing is she is big into youtube vids and does animations using Adobe Cloud suite, particularly Animate.

Any suggestions on a sensible priced 15.6", i5/i7, 8-16gb with SSD welcome please. Ideally something toughish as itll be living in a backpack i expect. We have 2 dells (e5540 and something else) bought as factory refurb and theyve been great, but old. Maybe still the way to go?

thanks
Mike

10 years old girl probably doesn’t need or want a 15” laptop; her eyesight is probably much better than ours

I’d suggest maybe looking at a Dell-refurbished XPS 13 from Dell Outlet. Has served my daughter well at school then uni

Refurbed Dell with decent spec from reputable E-Bay supplier, best option

thanks guys, will check out refurb dell route.

Hadnt considered xps, look good. Always bought latitudes in the past, xps seem less business like, so she may appreciate that. Will have to see whether 13" screen ok as all ours are 15 and she needs screen space for the animations i think.
