Bike Insurance - Break

Evening all,

Looking to take a break over the upcoming winter period and purchase a new bike in spring next year. I'll be selling my bike so won't have anything to insure against. Any idea how long you have before you lose your no claims discount? A quick google suggest you have up to 2 years, anyone found that not to be the case?

Industry standard practice is NCD is valid for 24 months from termination date of last policy, only full years counted if you break mid term.
