Is there a headset available that helps block other voices in my home office from my call? Kinda like the unidirectional video mic I've got, filtering out most sound apart from the voice you want to capture. Thanks !

Are you talking about blocking background noise so people on the call can't hear what is going on around you? I don't have a specific model in mind, but the higher end Jabra headsets are great. I use one that I used to use in the office and now at home, and people on the call couldn't hear my colleague at the next desk if he was talking too.

I have a wired plantronics one that is pretty good at cutting out background noise, about £30

Exactly that.. have a home working near me that I'd prefer not heard on my calls

Had these and nwo have the EVOLVE2 40.
MUCH BETTER ... they have noise cancelling, which whilst isn't what the OP requested, makes the using of these headsets an improvement on the original 40s.

Do they do a good job of drowning out other sounds near you, your end ?

I have them on sometimes when I am not on a call (habit to have them on) and I can say that tehy block out a lot of noide in the home with wife and 2 young children. Not too shabby when listening to music as well. Bonus is that they are comfortable on teh ear.

I have a pair of Bose QC35ii and used to use them, but now I use these. Not saying they are as good, but the mute button is really useful when I want to swear at someoneelse on a call.....

What I'm after is removing other voice from MY end, when I'm on a call. So the mic picks up my voice, but not the person next to me.

I'm sorry, I don't know as I tend to be in my home office alone and don't have other noises constantly nearby.
I can try and test tomo when I am on a call, ask my 7 or 10yr old to come and start talking.....

These Jabra headsets are pretty good but they won't achieve what you want, there will always be some leakage if you have noisy kids or loud person sitting next to you. If you want only your voice to be audible you need to be in a separate room.
