Anyone on here who is able to check the name & address of the registered keeper from a car registration number please PM me.

I have home cctv of someone making significant effort in order to get a look at my house at 6am.

If the plate is from a clone then I'm taking it to bib.

If it's local I'll do some further checks myself initially.

You're also making the assumption that the RK is involved. you could be targetting the previous RK who has done nothing wrong.

Plenty of cars in trade that people have access to. And plenty of cars that are in a grey ownership area.

The police actually like crimes they stand a chance of solving quickly.
It may also help them clear up another 148 cases in the local area.

Local to me a resident saw someone on her driveway at 4am (she couldn't sleep) and found she had it all recorded on the Ring doorbell video thingy, including the reg plate of the car.
Police were straight round to help sort it out and allay her fears.

Stick the registration plate into the Gov.uk mot history site to confirm it matches the car as a first check. Still report it so it is on file, nothing will happen as a result but it does provide intelligence info.

You can also apply to DVLA for registered keeper info based on specific reasons for a few quid.

I recently reported a car reg doing some dangerous driving (in a residential area) to 101. The call handler told me the town where the car was registered, which was 50 miles away, not that I asked or cared but he just came out with it. They couldn't send the (one and only) traffic unit because it was busy elsewhere but hopefully reporting it will cause the owner some inconvenience at some point. So report it would be my advice.

If you have a valid reason. In my case I used it to get the details of a woman who knocked me off my motorbike as the insurance company weren't helpful, which is when I discovered we were both insured with the same company who were trying to limit their claims

I failed in similar circumstances ( though it was 11 years ago). Woman coming the other way on an empty A road was too busy texting at 60 mph to watch where she was going. My avoiding action left me upside down in the ditch. Woman driver didn't even realise she had caused an accident and didn't stop. DVLA weren't helpful. Police were.
