2010 MK5 Golf GTI?

Hi folks,

I'm just looking for a little advice, currently looking for a mk5 golf gti and I've seen a rather clean black 5 door that's taken my interest, only thing is its a 2010 plate. Now I have check DVLA and its correct saying it was registered June 2010 but my understanding was the mk5 gti finished in 2008 and the mk6 gti went from 2009 till 2012. Is there any reason fort this? or is it just perhaps a late registered car?

I’ve seen one or two ‘10 plate Mk5 GTIs. Just registered really late.

A bunch of Cypriot (?) / parallel imported unregistered GTI, GTI special / late editions and R32s hung about in 2009-10 at some of the larger car superstores. I remember because I quite fancied a brand new R32 at the time.

Yes I've heard the same. There also quite a few lazer blue 54/05 plate GTIs that came in from Cyprus iirc. Check the spec carefully against the UK brochure to make sure you're not missing anything too important. I've seen some parallel imports that have manual AC an no dual zone/digital display which was standard on uk
