Any employment lawyers or recommendations?
Discussion
Hi All,
Some may remember my post a while ago where I had some advice with workplace problems and bullying and the plan was for a new job. That fell through with COVID-19 and now I’ve been offered settlement with mentions of performance issues as a threat. I need my own legal representation and advice on the offer. Anyone on here able to help or recommend anyone?
Really appreciated the advice last time and this has come out of the blue.

Hi All,
Just to update the original thread is here.

Essentially the job offer I had last year fell through. Another argument occurred and was brought before a new member of senior management where I explained the whole history. I kept my head down and made enquires about new jobs. Then COVID-19 happened and I’d been working from home with no issues.
After a phone call about performance they’ve offered me this settlement as an awareness that I had health issues and then concerns about performance. They discussed a few things and when I replied with the full and correct information the next item was brought up. For example an escalation from a client and the fact that I didn’t ask for help (manager was looped into these emails and was aware at all times in the stall to progress and advised on our daily team calls that abc was taking more time than expected so was fully aware)
I’ve now received a settlement without prejudice offer which after any deductions equates to about 9 months salary with PAYE deductions accounted for and not allowing for overtime that I do every month. If I add overtime back to my lost income without this job it’s between 7 months.
The notice is taxable etc, the compensation payment is not.
I have spoken to ACAS and they’ve advised legal advice.
To summarise I know I need to leave. This has forced the issue and will be better for me. I had all intentions of leaving and was confident about the new role and then confidence just fell and then I sunk back into keep quiet and see what happens with the job market. I admit I became complacent in getting a new role but I did my job. I in no way believe this is performance related as no written warnings, verbals etc or complaints have been raised. The only thing that was mentioned was my return to work and no ‘big wins’ or projects since I’d been on phased return.
My concerns are do I accept in these uncertain times. The money will last until February if we live as we do now and further if we prioritise. On the other hand I can’t imagine my work life being made pleasant and if I don’t accept I’ve been told it will go to performance/disciplinary procedures

So you've been gaslighted out of your job, sounds like a classy place to work.I've been there, but it was my manager who was let go, after it became apparent what was going on due to my quantifiable performance being in the top 1% of the business...
I hope you get as much money out of them as you can, in your future positions unfortunate you will need to shutter yourself from this kind of manipulation by keeping your own 'quantifiable' performance data stored somewhere were no one can get at it.
