Has anyone been mucked about by plusnet not sending a new customer voucher out?

I think they are on the sneak with it. I signed up with 70 quid on offer. Sign up process was quick with it all moving over....except no voucher sent.

So I phoned them up "oh you didn't have this down on the package you bought unfortunately". I bit my tounge and said well I wouldn't be phoning up i didn't think I was entitled and every package currently on sale has the offer associated to it.

Anyway I forgot about it and checked the helpdesk call, this then showed as closed (after saying id get a follow up after 5 days).

I'm phoning in the morning but has this been experienced by anyone else with them before?

Just phoned and got the same waffle as before "nothing was offered originally"...they tried calling me out and said did you phone a callcenter agent so we can check the recording...I said well what do you recommend (Stone silence).

After asking to get it escalated I wait and get offered 50 quid, I said "was that the original offer"...well this is our offer...I said im not negotiating with you here tell me what the original offer was.

They seem quite arrogant, defensive, aggressive and rude about this so i'm wondering if this is a technique here to avoid payments.

Every package at the moment has a gift card on offer like I had....so I've asked to get the voice recording reviewed (as I thought they were doing and I'll persist.

Not happy...

BT had something similar when I joined, there was a pre-paid card as an offer online but we couldn't order online as it was FTTP on a new build and the address wasn't on there so they needed OpenReach to come out and sort something at the box. Turned out then that we could only order this by telephone because the online system said the house didn't exist and then BT said that it was only an online offer. The card was for £125 but it took 5 weeks after moving in to sort the FTTP and by then I was just glad to have internet access. Might be worth just checking the T&Cs if the offer is still on to make sure you've gone through the full process as per the T&Cs.

Given they've offered £50 I can't imagine they are going to want to spend too much time for the sake of £20 now, it's just how much time you want to spend pushing it.

After a few happy years with PlusNet, I wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole now. Their lovely customer service was their USP, but now that’s gone, there’s no point considering them. Perhaps the BT effect has seeped into their very core.

I'll go to Ofcom about this, they all need a kicking. They closed down my unresolved call originally about this without contacting me hoping I'd forget about it.

And I'll continue the claims as it has been the cheek of it to me here, they are even currently offering 75 pounds on new deals with the same package.

As for customer service I have found them quite terse to be honest but I am not sure if that's because the amount of work they are probably now all having to do with the whole world working at home but such is life....

However its 30 odd quid a month cheaper than BT.

PlusNet have been poor at customer service for at least four years, in my experience. The worst part was plain, simple lies. Once a company lies to me, they’re finished.

Have to say, I got my £60 card from them within a few weeks of signing up, with minimum fuss.

Was going to change to Plusnet as I had heard customer service was excellent.
Won't bother now.
Regarding providers is there any that any of you can recommend apart from SKY?

No....just go with the cheapest you can. TBH I've not had issues when raising a few technical faults, I appear to be dealing with customer service department members.

It's in Sheffield as well which might explain why they are so miserable lol.

Hi, was this done recently? I couldn't remember if it was 60 quid or not on my offer last month.

I got a £70 cheque from them within a month or so of going live. No issues, never had to chase

Well...

Finally get updated "they've checked the voice recording and I was quite rightly entitled to 75 quid"

Thats in the post "apparently", and they've credited my account for the inconvenience.
