Similar cars seem to be 5k cheaper at non opc ,but non standard colour so depends how much value you place on that .What do you make of this:-

That’s basically a colour thing, but the GT3’s are or seem to be creeping up a tad ? I’ve been keeping a weather eye on the GT3 RS’s from OPC and they aren’t a lot more ? With a keen sales target and a needy sale I’m feeling lucky on the RS’s as they aren’t a great deal more than list ? I doubt they’ll go back up any where near what they have been, some are still very keenly priced and have 540 miles on them whilst others with 3.5 to 5K miles on are clipping £150k
I’m not wanting one to make money on, and there’s a slight possibility I could get a slot for a 992 version so I’m not wading in just yet but keeping an eye on things.

I do like Miami but no CCbs and no interior carbon trim.
It’s the no leather option here is the issue.MDL111 said:
Currently looking at 997.2 RS and I would pay more for no leather, no CCBs and no lift and ambivalent re air con. I do want the CGT buckets. Spec requirements in the UK are a mystery to me, it’s not a Ferrari where you spec different leather and carpet colors, stitching etc. there probably is a buyer for every spec.
What a very odd statement to make.Melvynr said:

Why? Or how is at different to saying a car must have leather, CCBs and lift? I am pointing out that not everybody wants those options (or in my case actively tries to avoid some of them)
That's fine that you don't want the options, so order a new one with the options you want. You find it a mystery that you can choose options as it's not a Ferrari, every manufacturer has an options list.MDL111 said:

The lift on 997’s has known problems (and very expensive to fix) and from what I have read PCCB’s on 997 have wear issues so I think your looking for the best spec rather than poverty spec....MDL111 said:

CCB were not as good in that era so makes sense, lift again just something to go wrong on a 2010 car and a bit iffy.CGT yes if you are not fat they are the best seats and £25k to buy so who would not want CGT seats.
Leather, well it's a premium brand and a lot of money so leather makes it’s a nice place to be, you have to admit they look cheap when the inside looks like a £8k VW up ! No ?
But the 2010 cars are not the 2018 cars where PCCB, leather and buckets sell the cars and are the lighter, faster options, no way would I want steels on my GT3 unless I swapped the system to the CUP system, oem steels weigh too much with the shifty old calliper design. But I would think about not specing pccb on a GT4 and spending the money on a after market race setup with the money saved. I love good brakes and the lighter the better.

Colour and pov spec would put me off the car personally but some would also love it.
Its a bit marmite IMHO but only needs 1 person at right time to sell.
If YOU like it that's all that matters, get it bought life is too short
Not many lovers as it’s still for sale so that one person for that spec must be on holiday 😂 Its a bit marmite IMHO but only needs 1 person at right time to sell.

Big premium for the thread car imo
Spotted this today and priced a £125K retail with very low miles and a great spec.

I am weird, I think the 996 interior (W/o Centre console) is the best interior Porsche did since the 993 (I am probably alone on that one) and I think without the leather is just looks more purposeful / matched the ethos of the car better.
The main point was that not everybody looks for the same spec so it is not like not having option xyz makes a car unsellable.

My 2008 CCBs are fine and work well, but whenever I think about the likely replacement cost I think steels would be ok. I think the split of 991 RSs I see is probably about 60/40 in favour of CCB - not like in the UK, where it seems everybody specs CCB. Maybe good old Germans worry about replacement costs more (some of the cars arrive on trailers, not sure why given cars look standard to me).

Every thing sells at a price, but having to drop the car £10k or wait 8 months for a sale is bloody frustrating.I am weird, I think the 996 interior (W/o Centre console) is the best interior Porsche did since the 993 (I am probably alone on that one) and I think without the leather is just looks more purposeful / matched the ethos of the car better.
