Chester were great when I bought back in March. Ask for Andrew Walker.

Phoned them last Friday, still waiting for a call back.
Plus I think they just passed my details onto Aberdeen

If you’re after good service I’d keep away from the big boys. Have you tried Kendal? Family owned

I think you are right
I started off looking at a 991
Then I thought of a Mclaren 570S ( unlikely as various issues that make owning one very hard work such as a 500 mile round trip to get an annual service)
Then I thought of a new 992
Now I see the GT4 is out and now I thinking that cold be the one for me if it available with PDK
So need to find a dealer who can tell me honestly if I can get a GT4 or a 992 ?
Who would have thought buying car such hard work

I think you will struggle to get an allocation for a new GT4 but a 992 is less of an issue unless you want the Turbo S!

I'd also suggest speaking to Kendal as they are family owned and therefore not answerable to multiple levels of management. The Parker family are active in the business and they give an excellent level of service. They are currently in the process of building a new showroom right on Junction 35 of the M6 which shoulds be open next year.

Their number is 01539 724331 and speak to Ryan or Troy smile

Thanks for the number will try them tomorrow
You are right as it looks as if you have to have a "dealer relationship" first before they will sell you a GT4.
so first dealer was no on Gt4
I used 992
Happy to talk about a new 992 for March 2021 delivery
Time to talk to more dealers or wait till the market settles a bit as currently dealers having a great time selling cars

I think so far I have met my fair one share of some funny sales staff
One asked what I was after
991.2 possibly a 992 if price is right or a new GT4 if you can get me one
Sales person reply, come back to me when you have made up your mind
So I guess she will not get a call from me ever

I'm surprised Perth passed on your details, I tried Abz, Perth and Edinburgh when buying my last car. Edinburgh and Perth were the two which got back to me, Aberdeen didn't bother but no surprise there...

I maybe should've tried Perth but ended up buying from Edinburgh.

Bought my 991.2 Carrera GTS from Chester OPC (Sarah Jones) last October. Impressive service and the only dealer who offered what I considered was reasonable px on my 996 turbo.

I can understand why they think your requirements may be more hassle then worthwhile tbh - could you not look on the pre-owned for the cars you like and then go and see them? How many hundred are listed as 991/992? or search via price if you dont know?

thats why you need to narrow it down. Sure if a new order then yes will need to ask.

Purchased two cars in last few months from my dealer. The truth is they have so little secondhand stock and available allocations that they only focus on people who know what they want and are in a position to proceed. Might sound harsh but that’s the current reality. When I bought a car back in January it was more of a buyers market so even got some discount.

Out of interest, what model did you get a discount on?

Good people and my dear old 911 was not only serviced by them for the first 20 years of her life with the previous owner (but also their demonstrator in late 1993) and twice for me. It’s a 400 mile round trip so on restricted mileage became a struggle in the end.

So Porsche have finally got their way then.... The last time I was up there there was talk that Porsche was putting pressure on them that they should be more the ‘corporate image’ of 21st century Porsche and wanted them to become the same.

Personally I liked the old school premises ..... after all they’ve been a Porsche dealership since (I think) 1958.... and the story behind that makes a good read in itself.
