ubiquiti access point question

just a quick one folks,

if i fire one/two of these up in the house and connect them to my hard wired network whats the process for configuring,

do they just extend my current virgin wifi network or do they create another wifi network in the house?

Best turn off the WiFi on the virgin router, then configure the Unifi APs. You can either config them in standalone mode using the App, or you can set-up a Unifi controller on a PC/Mac, you don't need to leave it running once set-up. If you want to monitor etc then you can get a Unifi Cloud Key or I just set-up a Raspberry Pi as the Unifi controller.

If yi don't want to mess around then there are other options, TP-Link do a good AP range which is easy to set-up.
