BMW F31 towing bar

Hi all, fairly new and inexperienced bmw AND car onwer here.
Just gof myself a 2017 320i that did not come with a towing bar or ball. I am also a big fan of mountain biking so I like to take my bike with me whenever I go different places.
I would like to install one of those rear mounted platforms on the car so I can put my bike and the misses on it. Now I am not sure if my car will take this as I have not seen any places under the rear bumber to actually fit said platform or anywhere to plug the electrical connections for it.
If anyone has past experience with this sort of stuff, how did you go about it ?

Witter or Westfalia are popular aftermarket options and can be retrofitted so that reversing sensors are disabled when using it, You may also need a modified heatshield depending on model

Fairly easy to put together and fix on a towbar myself after checking around the internet. The only problem I have is where the hell is that 7 pin connector is supposed to go into ? is it that little square patch on the right hand side of the rear bumper , just under parking sensors? If not where exactly does it go?

If you buy a tow bar mounted bike rack, u will still need to buy and get fitted a tow bar for your car- whoever fits the tow bar will also install an electrical socket
