HP laptop Dead battery?
Discussion
Had it for 3.5 years. 99% of the time run it on mains, and only notice the battery runs out when the power mains connector gets jogged out the socket
Now When the mains plug drops out. it goes dead
The system tells me that the battery has 92% and the little battery icon sows nearly full, i also noticed it doing the charge symbol
I have tried to check the connections on the battery with a tester to see if it was a false reading, but the contacts cannot be rached and i dont think folding bacofoil into the slots helped
Could it need a new batt
Couple of supplementries
The speaker say working 100% but very low volume
And Win 10 has decided to move the 'index' that used to be on the LHS of the screen and you scrolled down to whatever app you wanted, and it is now filling up the whole scree with each app shown
Any way of getting it back to the original?
Thoughts suggestions welcomed
TIA
