Does anyone know if the GT3 Mk2 wheels will fit on a 2000 996? I prefer the cleaner 1-piece look to the (GT3 Mk1) Sport Design wheels currently fitted to my car. And they look easier to clean / less likely to corrode!
I can vaguely recall reading somewhere that Mk2 GT3 wheels/tyres may be wider than those on the Mk1. Any views on this / fitting / anyone done it?

Thanks

The GT3 bodyshell is the same as the 996 Carrera, so should not think there will be a prob with wheelarch clearance.. am sure wheel stud settings are the same.

Thanks Rob. A mate has suggested calling Jasmine so I'll do that too, to confirm offsets, wheel arch clearance etc. Just got to prepare myself for the likely cost now!

Cheers

Why not get something even better like Fikse wheels or something if you are going to spend money? They are used in racing and are lighter+stronger than OEM, or so I'm told.

Try design 911, i've been looking to change mine on a 996 c2. it's currently running on the GT3 sport look and i've had no problems with clearance. i've been assured by the main dealer that the later will be ok........ best check though!!!!!

those GT3 Mk II wheels are mega wide at the rear 11x18, as I was looking for a set on my 993, so they won't fit my narrow body 911...

you'll need to check your offets ET's on you car....

IMHO the best Porsche wheels around !

Thanks chaps. Design911 has them at £1995+VAT including tyres. Rears are 18X11J rather than 18X10J on my car and with 295 tyres rather than my 265. Fronts are more or less the same.

Not sure I like the Fikse wheels as much as the 2004 GT3 design plus I'd like to keep the car with OEM parts.
