Washed my Dongle
Discussion
I've just recovered my Vodafone Tracker Dongle from the washing machine.......................
Opened up the case and removed the battery, it was wet in there. Any way dried it off with paper towel and then had all the bit under a hair dryer for 10 minutes, just warm and it all looked OK.
Put it back together and it's flashing just as it should.
Has anybody else had an accident with one of these dongles, did it survive and how long do the batteries last.
Customer services don't open till Monday and I can use the second one in the meantime, just wanted reassurance really that I'm not the only one daft enough to do this.
Cheers,
Simon.

Immerse it in a small cup of rice and place in the airing cupboard for 24 hours, then it will be properly dry
You do know that immersing a wet electronic device in rice does not really work?More liquid is expelled by leaving the device in the open via evaporation than submerged in rice.
