Did I get away with it?

Last week it was 8 months since I saw a camera van when going over the limit (enough to not get just fpn). I saw the camera van trying to hide around a bend and some trees so shaved off the speed before I was in its proper line of sight. I was wondering if it somehow got me before the bend but it’s been 8 months now and the car has been registered to me for about 2 years. Have I got away with it?
There has been 3 instances where I've "met" a camera van at a decent amount above an acceptable speed. Thankfully the two in the UK have come to nothing and the other was in CZ in about 1995 and was a misery ( to me) on the spot fine.

I thought their range was very long and they could get you from anywhere. Seems like not. As others have said - you were clear after a couple of weeks

Seems like yes. I got done by one from almost a mile away in January. Very deserving case, nothing else on a wide fast straight stretch of the A43 with no turn offs or slip roads, clearly a highly dangerous stretch. It's never about revenue though......321boost said:

Not stopped at the time.As said above you "got away with it" 14 days after the date as that was when a NIP was required - unless it was a lease or company car of course, in which case you'd have had to give it a month for the first NIP to arrive and then a subsequent one to arrive with your name on it.

Yes, the IP address (and hence your actual physical address) of every post on PH will be recorded on PH servers. It is a legal requirement that anything like this, where someone admits on line to doing something illegal, has to be reported to the police.Most servers will do this automatically however some are searched manually and it can take up to a year before the offense is recorded and acted on.
