Looking to replace my current 50 year old oak sleepers ramps as they are starting to get a good ammout of rot in them

Do people think the pine sleepers that people make these days as strong enough or are old oak ones better?

Thanks just finding somewhere that charges a reasonable delivery charge for the thicker sleepers

If you literally mean railway sleepers, aren't they rather over the top for ramps for an ordinary car? How much weight are you planning to put on them, and how high do they need to be?

I have in the past found a second use for my trailer ramps.

Ideal for cars with air dams as its just a gentle slope, but still capable of the weight of a 6 cylinder E class.

Sadly the Merc has moved to Luton, probably to end its life as an uber taxi. frown
