Hi, first I apologize I dont speak english so here could be some mistakes in words... So I have a problem with my car its a vw polo 1.4 44kw, motor code AUD, year 2000 and model 6n2, my problem is whenever I drive maybe more than 30km my car just stop responding on my accelerator pedal and starts to slow down until it stall and then when I want to start the engine it just cranking so I must wait about 5minutes and then the car starts as new
, so when i travelling long distances I must continuosly stop the car and cool it down. I tried clean throttle and reset her with VCDS but it didnt help and diagnostic doesnt tell anything. Any advices? Have a good day.

You could check by seeing if fuel is being pumped to the engine just after the car stalls.
My other thought is a sensor overheating but I would have thought that would give a fault code.

That timing is typical of a failing relay which loses contact when it gets hot. If you have a volt meter and don't mind doing some testing next time the problems happens, it is usually quick and easy to diagnose a failing relay once you have got access to the terminals - it should never have a voltage across the contacts and a voltage across the coil at the same time. When I had similar problems I made up a piggy back relay socket so I could test relays easily, but you don't need any special equipment other than the volt meter as long as you can access the terminals.

GreenV8S, sry I didnt understant well, which relay do you mean that I should check?
I would focus on the ones relating to the engine management system, if you can identify them. There will typically be one for the ECU and a separate one for the fuel pump, but you'd need to check what your particular car model uses.Try driving the car with the fuel filler cap removed. It could just be that the tank breather is blocked - if air can't get in, fuel can't come out. The car will run for some time until the vacuum in the tank is stronger than the pump, then it will stop. While you are waiting, the vacuum drops and you can drive again.
