Wiper motor replacement
Discussion
Take off both wiper arms. Remove the passenger side airbox. Now undo the bolt that holds the coolant header tank to the bracket. and remove the overflow pipe from the tank (at the top next to the bulkhead). You should now be able to slide the tank out of the bracket. Put the overflow pipe back on to reduce further leakage. If you're lucky this should give you clearance to get to the motor. If you're unlucky you'll need to completely remove the tank, which results in more coolant leakage. Remove the coolant tank bracket.

This should give you access to the strap that bolts the wiper motor to the bulkhead. Slacken off the brass nut that holds the motor to the wiper wheelbox housing. Remove the strap that holds the motor to the bulkhead and disconnect the power connector from the back of the motor. You should now be able to pull the motor and worm drive out of the wheelbox housing.
When you've removed the motor you'll need to remove the plate at the back of the motor and take out the worm drive. You'll need to install this in the new motor.
Refitting is the reverse.

I recently changed mine out for the upgraded motor from TVR parts. The wipers move over the screen much easier so may be worth a look.
Hi I read up on the new upgraded motor but they are on a 4 week back order so decided to get mine refurbished. It now sweeps he windscreen smoothly even when dry so very pleased with the result.Gassing Station | Cerbera | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
