Failure Oil Level indicator

Hi there,
I am having persistence error message on my 911-Carrera 4S Model 2002 since last few days. The car was stationary for
last almost two+ years this problem suddenly appeared.
Can anyone suggest what IS? and Why is? I checked the oil level using Dipstick as you can see.

I had the same problem with my recently purchased Boxter 987 that had done very few miles in the last 5 years, mice had made themselves a nest on top of the engine and chewed through several wires, apparently not uncommon, especially with cars that get the occasional winter run then put back in the garage for long periods.
I suggest tracing the wires from the plug for the oil level sender as a starting point.
