Heading off into the sunset
Discussion
Today I said goodbye to the Cerbera after almost 10 years of ownership. I think I did all the things I set out to do on the road and on the track. I bought it so that I could take the family with me to the odd event in a decent sprint championship. This all worked fine and has been great fun. These days the children aren’t children anymore, are rather too big to fit in the back of the car and tighter eligibility rules for road going sports cars make it difficult to compete the Cerbera at present.
So here are the highlights

Catching up on several years missing servicing back in the winter of 2011 (three of the tappets had no clearance at all). I never did get those magnetic race numbers to work on the car.

First competition in the TVR Speed Championship, Harewood Spring 2011.

Giving the original old tyres a good send off at Drift What You Brung, Santa Pod 2012 before swapping back to the refurbished RL7s

Caught in a bank holiday traffic jam, Abingdon 2015

Mixed company at Royal Oak Bishopstone 2015

Daughter trying it out for size at Three Sisters 2016

Son and friends delivered to their Prom night 2017 (all three of them and me fitted - just)

Goodbye in 2020, not only do I not own a TVR but I don’t even have a car that has an engine.
Hopefully, Alex, the new owner will pop up on here to say hello.
Thanks very much to all of you on this forum for the help and advice over the last decade. Have fun and keep those exhausts popping

This is s great shot as it shows that our TVRs with all there power are small cars which such enormous presence on the street. And it is completely incomprehensible to me why current cars, especially electric cars, must be so huge...
Maybe you will come back into the TVR world anytime in the future!

I have tried to leave TVRs 3 times now unsuccessfully, I last about 6 months then it starts, a casual look at them on line just out of interest, then you remember how much fun they are compared to the daily driver, then you will continue to look at them online, and when you see one on the road either from a short distance or driving past, that sound, the style, those memories, then " thats nice, and a decent price" moment hits you when you are just casually wondering what price they are selling at now comes along, you will be desperate to return, maybe a different model from a Cerbera because we all like a couple of the other models to the one we own. You have been warned.
Resistance is futile.

Thanks for the comments. In answer to some of the points the Tesla isn't actually that much bigger, if i got rid of the shallow bench at the back of the garage to gain 400mm it would fit where the Cerbera was.
And yes it has a tilt and slide electric sunroof, rumored to have been a factory fit and i believe it is the only one although there is another Cerb that has a lift out panel.

I’m missing that car already and it’s not even mine.
I adore silver and red interiors, when it works it works fabulous.
You had a great time by the looks and respect for driving it properly at tracks, Love that
I’d just like to add that’s a fabulous picture of getting it broadside power on,, it cracks me up because your eyes are looking where you wanna go but the cars not so sure It can comply by the slip angle. Great shot that is. Cherish it

Sorry to see you go Ian.
Thanks for all the posistive support and messages over the years.
Thanks, above all for the greatest shot of a Cerb in action

Trying to look on the positive... at least you can use a sun visor as you drive off...
