Paint protection
Discussion
I've just got off the phone with Topaz about getting this done. Not a cheap route, but probably a good investment if you have good enough paintwork. Sounds like it's not really worth doing on an older car such as ours unless the paint being covered is either extremely good still or has just been resprayed (in which case it should be done pretty quickly (but not immediately as the paint needs to fully cure) before it gets chipped or scratched, even from poor washing technique.
Where is the rust you are getting done?

I've had 2 993's detailed. The 1st with wax and the second last year with ceramic, I chose G-Tech as had used them before on a 996.
Interestingly I went to Topaz who looked at the car and took all my details promising to provide a quote..never heard back from them. Instead I went to https://www.elitecarcare.co.uk, the owner has a lovely 964. They did full car including bringing the interior back to life. Worth a call, they are in Maidenhead and not far from the train station.
Will be taking my 997 to them later this year to have the ceramic treatment.
