The fact he became a diplomat boggles the mind , they need to teach them to run faster in future .
His success and opportunity will have been massively influenced by her position. What you have to ask when the drug taking started. Crystal Meth is hardly a occasional drag on a spliff at a uni party. Not sure if the OP meant to post the current article, but he has been convicted of 12 assaults, racially aggravated criminal damage, making threats and exposing himself. Maybe Dianne was right about how many racists there are in our society...........

He deserves a lengthy jail time but plays the psychosis card so he gets a cushy private room in a mental home with no determined length of time.
So all it takes is a Labour Party friendly mental health assessor and he could be out and about in a few months.
You’re right. One law for them, I guess......So all it takes is a Labour Party friendly mental health assessor and he could be out and about in a few months.

Why post this garbage? I mean seriously. So all it takes is a Labour Party friendly mental health assessor and he could be out and about in a few months.
He is a recovering addict from Crack Cocaine, with underlying mental health conditions and is clearly a dangerous person. What would be gained by putting him in jail?
Must be heartbreaking for Ms Abbott, to see her son go this route. I am sure most parents would empathize with her situation.
Well, I for one am going to break the trend on here of cracking jokes and then saying I 'sort' of feel sorry for her. I think the poor women must have been through hell and back - and genuinely feel pretty ashamed for how much I judged her. No wonder she wasn't able to focus 100% on figures when she saw her child's life and future evaporating in front of her - closing your eyes each night and wondering what you might wake up for. If I ever have kids I don't think I'd function at all under that stress.
I hope that the young man gets the help he needs and can get back to functioning to his potential. And I hope she is able to recover from going through what she must have suffered as well.

Where is the racist angle here ??
I think it was previously reported that he shouted some fairly unpleasant racist abuse at the emergency workers. Not sure anyone here is saying poor kiddie. He is 28 years old, and clearly made his own choices. I do feel some empathy for his mother though - despite all her best efforts to see your child go this way is obviously going to be very upsetting.
