Mic jack socket
Discussion
PC is 2 years old, and often used to use headphones only, but recently got into a few games that need a mic setup too.
Often find that initially when plugged in the sound switches from the phones to the speakers with no warning then settles down after a few mins. Obv a woolly connection point somewhere. sockets is in top of desktop rather than back.
Is OK as i expect it, but can be infuriating if it seems fine and you are in the middle of a race or rally stage or a firefight and you lose sound completely!
Any ideas? Is it a clean thing? Are there any hacks to make sire this doesn't happen?
