Evening all
I'm a detailer and I'm doing my first caravan at the weekend. Exterior only.
Looking at cleaning the outside. Its a long wheel base caravan - pretty big.
Can you guys give me some advice on cleaning a caravan - never done one before. Also any products you could recommend would be great.
Cheers

Tough call giving a detailer advice tbh
Does it have black streaks? If so there is some specialist stuff for that (aldi regularly sell it when they have their caravanning/camping week in the 'man' aisles) but you may know of something that would do the job equally as well.
How much time are you planning on spending on it?

Keep the pressure washer away from windows and seals, they’re very susceptible to damage from water, particularly at pressure.
Careful also with tar remover or solvents as they can go straight through the gel coat.
I’d use black streak remover and a gentle ph neutral shampoo/snow foam with lots of agitation. APC for stubborn stuff.
I’d also steer clear of polish, maybe just a glaze and a coat of wax.
Good luck with it and post some pics!

Thanks for the replies guys - I'm planning to take as long as it takes if that makes sense. I'm guessing that it'll take me around 5 hours.
After watching some youtube vids I'm not going near it with the pressure washer - I'll just use my normal hose. Also not using my tar/fallout remover. It's a mates caravan so it'll probably take me longer than I expect especially as it's parked behind his pub !!
Could be a long day
Thanks for all the replies - appreciated.

Silky Caravan Cleaner was what I used to use.
Going to try and get this before I head to the job - looks like it really does the job. The fact the manufacturer hasn't changed the formula for 40 odd years tells you it's good!Cheers.

Just done mine, thread is on front page still.
Autoglym Caravan and Motorhome cleaner is great, especially for restoring yellowed plastics and tough areas like the roof and roof vents. Do not let the product dry.
Autoglym Super Resin polish or similar minimal abrasive, also on acrylic windows.
Are you Rotary polishing, if so go very easy, caravan paint is soft and usually no clearcoat.
