Sloppy Steering
Discussion
Been commuting in the car this week and thought the steering was sloppier than I remembered.
Checked it over today and found that in the heat? the plastic triangular spacer on the steering column had slipped right to the bottom, leaving about 10mm of it in use, rather than the whole 100mm
I've slid it back up along with some aradlite to hold it in place...

Thats the part, the white plastic part I thought previously was worn, but instead had slipped down the shaft as far as it could go. It was worn, but on the top 5-10mm, which was all that was in contact !
It had become loose and slid down the shaft as far as it could go. It's now back in it's right position and secured with araldite
