Hooray!!! but........
Discussion
Finally after 16 months off the road and a lot of wallet emptying (surprise surprise) obtained an MOT today.
just managed to squeeze it in under the emissions but still running rich at full adjustment on Air Flow Meter, never mind just have to get that reconditioned aswell, probably the only part not done over the past year or so.
Anyone had theirs reconned ? price/place.
Unfourtunately the time off road has taken its toll, and she looks a bit of a shed, dull, chipped and the interior seams to have disintegrated.
Never mind at least i'm mobile, watch out coast here I come.
Can't wait to see the neighbours face tonite - they heard it thunder away last march, I bet they they had seen the last of it! ha ha !! oh how wrong !
for info
Footman James Renewal £350 so phoned Classicline, quoted £235 for exactly same cover (Fully Comp/W-screen/Legal/B-down/5k annual mileage/4K value).

Glad to hear you've got the car up and running again.
The Norfolk/Suffolk region are having a run out to Hunstanton on the 24th of July if you fancied it. I don't have all the details to hand, but I think the green there has been reserved for us all to park on. The usual play on the beach, pub grub and chat will probably be the order of the day. There should be a reasonable number of cars attending hopefully. Let me know if you want further details, or contact Jerry the Suffolk/Norfolk RO.
Dan.

When you say rich and run out of adjustment do you mean the air bypass screw on the afm is turned fully out ?
If so you could always alter the afm flap spring tension slightly - make a mark on the cog, undo the nut holding the clamp whilst holding the cog still and tighten tension on the spring (by turning the cog - anti clockwise I think but fairly easy to tell) by one or two teeth on the cog. This will lean it out to varying degrees throughout the range but be careful as much better to be a bit rich than lean.
