Hi everyone
Just popped in to say hello
Not sure that this is the right forum to post on, but seeing as I've just spent the last w/e at Le Mans with Tiv owners I thought it might be the right place to start.
Bloody fine w/e by the way. Lucky enough to get a lift down with a mate in his Tuscan
Liked the car....infact love all the TVR's.
Seems I'm now looking at buying into the club. Funny this as before Le Mans I was looking at Boxters.
Sad I know, but I have many friends who drive Porsches so I'm torn between the two.

All the smart people drive porsches. thats why weve all got TVR's
Boxters are great cars, but its the general opinion that they're far too quiet, dont sound as good, dont go as fast, are in another leage regarding fun (just dont compare) turn less heads, etc.
Buy a TVR, you wont regret it
Hi Dave.
I can speak from experience on this one.We had a Tuscan and it was in Blackpool for a rebuild. We were a bit p
d off and decided to look at other cars. I love Porsches (sorry!) and we had a test drive of a 911. It was lovely to drive BUT.... it just didn't have the WOW factor that TVR's have.
After the test drive we went to London and we saw at least 20 Porsches before we got home.
We decided to stick with TVR and bought our Sagaris ,and yeah we have little niggles with it (and you may have noticed that there is a bonnet problem!) but we dont regret choosing TVR over the Porsche.
I'm sure you wont regret it either.

Hi Dave,
It was great meeting you at Le Mans.
Choosing between Porsche and TVR is an agonising dilemma. I really hope I can help.
While Porsche make superb cars in the 911 stable, the Boxster has been specifically designed for girls and ladyboys.
It's true to say that the Boxster provides excellent traction and driving comfort for trips to and from the salon.
I think the most important thing here is to consider which is right for you. There's no shame in opting for frilly knickers instead of going commando.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
N
Dave,
Can't believe you would want a TVR after all the bad things you were telling me about NoMates and Trinity's cars being maxed up kits cars..
And the way you went weak knee'd when ever a 911 carrera 4S overtook you in NoMates car..
I think your only way forward is to get one of the fast beetle thingies.. that's it a 911
I'm sure people won't think you are gay or a hair dresser if you decide to get a boxter either

It all depends which cars you are looking at.
Boxster S v Tamora? Buy the S.
2nd hand Tuscans? v Boxster S? Buy the S.
Brand new Tuscan v Boxster S? Go for the Tuscan. You are in Surrey so looking like a blinged up muppet wont matter so much.
At that kind of money though Id go and find myself a manual 993 targa.

Cosmos,
won't somebody please think of the hotties?
We spent all weekend talking arctic silver out of getting a Porsche. We're taking him to Fernhurst TVR tomorrow to get a Tuscan.
So, no more crazy talk about porsches. Otherwise arctic may go all ladyboy on us.
