I have been asked to buy someone a salt cellar/grinder type thing. They currently just use a 'Saxo' tub.

What does the PH community recommend?

I am looking for the best salt experience.

Of course it is and it will be a very short one because Peugeot is the answer.

I’ve recently purchased these and have been really pleased with them. I got the cheap acrylic stand too and they look decent on the table. The mechanism seems really well made. I’ve only used with maldon sea salt so far.

If it's a gift for people you care about, buy a set with ceramic grinders.

Plastic grinders don't last very long.

I'll be honest and say I'm not overly impressed with some of the Cole & Mason grinders.

I will definitely be buying Peugeot in future.

We have had 2-sets of these David Mellor Design grinders for ages. They work really well.

May be no better than Peugeot, everyone we know in France use them, without complaint.
