Btcc is back in action for the first time since the media day just before lockdown. No spectators allowed at Donington park or for the next few races in august.
Several drivers missing including plato and the returning mat Jackson as pmr are not entering for 2020. Andrew Jordan had decided to leave so leaves bmw down to just the 2 cars, rowbottom out at cicely with jack butel replacing him, then the first driver change for team hard with ollie brown who replaces the bushell/fuller car.

New support series starts with the mini challenge with a healthy looking 28 car grid also the other support series grids have kept steady at around the 18-20 car mark with only the f4 series with below that on 15 cars.
Race live on itv 4 from 11am quali is on the itv hub if it actually works.

Great to have it back on tv been a long 4 months since media day at the start of lockdown.

If the online timetable is accurate they've timed the BTCC races around the F1.

Excellent first race, imo. I didn't know they'd dropped the option tyre to save money this year, I hope it doesn't come back.

Enjoyed first race. I like seeing Cammish do well, but Sutton is always so exciting to watch.

I’ll be catching up on recording most of today’s coverage when the F1 is finished.

Yep agreed was a pointless addition that served no purpose apart from cause drivers to slowly drop down the field. Was a good first race good battles and pretty clean driving standards baring a few bumps and spins.
Ash and that infiniti looks mighty also those new i30n looking quick too.

I can hear Alan Gow over the winter asking how they can keep the car close to each other ?
Someone mentioning giving Hamilton a race drive, that should work....

Thanks chaps! Nevermind, with that sort of turnaround after a rubbish Quali and race 1 it’ll happen sooner or later when I’ve hooked it up properly!

The interview was weird, stood looking at a sort of Dalek type arrangement with Lou Goodman’s voice coming out of it!!

I watched Race 1 and 3, gutted to see Jiggy's engine fail on his debut race!

Well done The Wookie, that Focus looks very smart as well!
