I'm sure I read/heard somewhere that the way Queen operated is that the one who wrote the majority of the song then sung it too?

Of course for financial reasons all songs were "written by Queen" as normally the writer of the song gets more royalty cash as far as I understand.

It was only on the final few albums that songs were credited to 'Queen'. On all other albums tracks were either individually or co-written. Stone Cold Crazy on Sheer Heart Attack the only notable early exception.
