Random switch - N420
Discussion
With 4.7 engines and standard exhaust, from the drivers seat it is difficult to hear any difference between valves open/closed.
I am told there is a more noticeable difference with the 4.3.
Another point is the valves are already open 0 to 1500 rpm.
Closed 1500 to about 4000.
Open above about 4000.
Finally, as already mentioned, one or both of your valves might be stuck.
For anyone who removes the fuse, it is probably worth refitting the fuse at intervals, otherwise the valves never move and therefore more likely to stick.

Back to the original question: I don't think I have this button; I will check though.

I have a N420 too (hence the sport exhaust) and use a CC Charger remotely to open/close valves and I respectfully disagree. You can definitely tell the difference, especially around the 3000 RPM mark (the N420 has a lower threshold), when the valves are normally bound to open.
Thanks, I will try as you suggest.
From the drivers seat, 3,000 rpm (when valves would be closed), operate exhaust valve remote switch, listen for difference.
Could also ask someone to press the accelerator, whilst I operate the remote from outside the car.

I have an N420 and I don't see this switch.
Aftermarket fitment so it won’t be on many cars. As others have said above; some remove the fuse others use the remote version, this is just a hardwired switch to control the exhaust valves which my or may not operate or indeed be heard. Sean
