'old' cash ISA transfer

I have one which i haven't contributed to in some years, i want to now split this between myself and partners S&S ISA (history: the bank account originally mine and later re-purposed to a joint account - i think the cash ISA in question is 'mine')

As these ISAs are individual, i see the only option to withdraw an amount and manually move this across to my OH S&S ISA, then instruct a normal Cash to S&S ISA transfer for the remaining balance to my S&S ISA.

Any thoughts?

The clue is in the name - Individual Saving Account. I think you'll have to accept losing the ISA wrapper on the money you transfer.
