Last night I reminded myself that I needed some change for parking today.
I keep a container in the bedroom for loose change, I took out all the £2 and £1 coins from the container and thought it was a slight surprise that there was exactly £20. I put the coins in a stacked pile ready to pick up first thing, next to my wallet. This was after I had set the house alarm and before getting into bed.
I am in the house on my own, windows are secure and the alarm did not go off.
This morning, no coins. I thought that I must have been mistaken and checked the container, no £1 or £2 coins. The wallet with about £100 is still there. I checked every room upstairs especially my office and every single inch of the bedroom, pockets, shelves, under things, everywhere. Even looked on the floor under furniture in case it had somehow fallen silently.
It is now 16:25, just done another search and still no sign of the money.
In terms of the amount it is not a big deal, it is just the fact that it is missing.

I’ve seen this type of thing before, a little goblin Type thing enters the house To kill a child by sucking her breath away. In your case it will be a leprechaun of course.... look for evidence of holes in the skirting board, dead budgies and a cat nearby......

The only point against that is the money is missing from both 'change' container and the stack of coins ready for me to take.I can only think that instead of putting the coins where I could see them and pick them up I have put them somewhere else, but I should be able to see them now.
