ah well, last few times I seen X on ADSB its been circling a hotel for an hour or so. Seen it do that 3 or 4 times.

It’s just to supplement the police helicopters nothing sneaky about it. Only reactive tasking it enables a longer on scene time than the EC135 fleet (London EC145).

It was being noisy in the Chesterfield / Mansfield / Nottingham area yesterday evening. It had the brightest lights of any aircraft I've seen recently but it was only at 1700 feet.

I imagine you’d be more pissed off if the crime committed was against you and they did nothing? Or the missing suicidal person was a relative and they said they wouldn’t launch the plane as it’s noisy for others?

biggrin I enjoy watching the boys flying around. Find it especially relaxing late at night because I’m concentrating on aeroplane engines and not my tinnitus.
