Discussion
Times have been very tight in FP1 & FP2, Morbidelli, Nakagami & Dovizioso up there with Vinales and Quartararo and looking good in long runs. Bagnaia hurt his knee in FP1, probably won't race.
Podium prediction:
1. Dovi
2. Quartararo
3. Vinales
p.s. MM93 isn't in this race so for conspiracy theories regarding his injury please check here: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

ETA: Bagnaia confirmed out for Brno and both Austrian rounds, fractured right tibia.

It's been a very long time since Yamaha won at Brno, all that corner speed is lost on the Horsepower Hill in the last part of the track. It seems as if, as usual, Iwata's engineers haven't been able to wring any more power out of their motor. Fabio was well down on top speed even at Jerez's short straights so it's going to be a long weekend for him.
Can't really see past a Dovi victory this weekend myself. If Nakagami continues his strong form of today he could spring a surprise. Miller will get on the podium or crash. Petrucci is well out of form - if he doesn't get a good result either here or at the Red Bull Ring KTM might be looking at the small print in the contract...

Dovi is a good shout but he doesn't seem to be getting on with this year's bike as well as Miller and Bagnia (I know the latter is out). Can't really see past a Dovi victory this weekend myself. Not saying you are wrong at all.
Well looks like my podium predictions are typically woeful, Dovi looks unlikely to qualify higher than the fourth row so no champagne for him this weekend; still think he has the long run pace for a top six finish though.
Ducati management need to go outside and have a word with themselves instead of playing games in the rider market. The championship is wide open this year and they are not getting the best out of their existing package: no GP20's in Q2, top Ducati rider is Zarco on a GP19. They have had a championship contending bike for the past three seasons yet they ditched Iannone, ditched Lorenzo and now look like they're doing the same with Dovizioso; in a class of racing where the rider makes the difference WTAF is their game plan?
ETA: Petrux scraped tenth actually, my mistake.

Aleix Espargaro can stop b
hing about his bike, just needs to ride it faster.
I thought Zarco looked good for the front two rows, did not think he'd get pole, and by a margin; that was some lap! They need to work on race pace now, top eight would be a great result.
Anyone know when the Iannone CAS appeal is?
