Best estate car for BiK tax?

Hello All
My company are replacing their vehicles and they've given me the choice on what car to get (within reason, more VW than BMW). It needs to be an estate model as I have equipment and ladders to carry around.
I was thinking going hybrid but since I cannot charge the car at home (I stay on the 3rd floor), it's not really practical unless I want to drive around with a flat battery all the time. Trading MPG for BiK tax doesn't seem cost effective although I may be wrong.
Anyone suggest what I should be looking for? Ideally looking for something that'll do the miles in comfort while helping me save the pennies

Poor mpg, nobody charges them but cheap BIK!
Saving on tax to only spend it all at the pump doesn't really make any sense to me. If the Outlander does 35mpg, 20k miles would cost very roughly £1000 more in fuel than a 55mpg counterpart or am I missing something?Poor mpg, nobody charges them but cheap BIK!

I bought four of these for some of my sales team. In normal usage, they have been achieving over 60mpg. Very comfortable and relatively quiet bland transport for a non car person. Five year warranty as well.Self charging hybrid and lower on Bik than a standard petrol.

Probably going to buy more in the next few months.
Very good terms from Toyota as a fleet. Also have a C-HR (the styling isn't everyone's cup of tea) and a Rav4, both hybrids.
A word of warning though. The BIK rating was jacked up by around 5% between order and delivery because the WLTP classifications for emissions came into effect in April. Corolla was around 77gm/km at the time of order but ended up at 103gm/km at delivery.
I definitely miss my old BMW 330d Touring before my company got rid of the car allowance and made it too expensive to keep. I've had a VW passat company car for the last few years, a 1.6 diesel. Not the greatest car to drive, bit sluggish but more than enough
I rarely go past 80mph and since my boy was born, I've grown to hate people that treat public roads like their personal race track. I think the Corolla might be the one for me, I haven't been able to find another estate car with lower emissions that isn't a plug in hybrid and 60mpg is ideal.
