Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDI PD BXE
Discussion
A really nice 2008 Škoda Octavia 1.9 tdi Estate as come up for sale locally. It’s a 2 owner car with full dealer service history and has covered 70k. It’s very clean and has been looked after.
I’ve read lots of horror stories online about the late BXE code PD engines, I was just wondering if this is a case of it being blown up online or should I run a mile?
It’s priced at £2000

Interesting, I missed the BXE problem was contemplating replacing our ageing Fabia Estate 1.9tdi
with a newer version or a Roomster 1.9tdi as a daily hack. Had thought the PDI engines were rock
solid ??
They pretty much are. It’s just a particular batch with BXE engine codes had a habit of putting con rods through the block with no warning. with a newer version or a Roomster 1.9tdi as a daily hack. Had thought the PDI engines were rock
solid ??
If you google 1.9tdi BXE there will be a date window that they were made. I’m pretty sure all the BXE engines will be getting on a bit now (or on the scrap heap).
