Just had 7th year service done and was told off for two things
1. Why have you only done 623 miles in last year?
2 your tyre gloop is out of date.

What gloop do any of you use? Does Jeff Bezos have any?

The chap who used to fit tyres to my car said that he hated that gloop as it should be removed before fitting a new tyre and it's Jolly difficult. He was rather more verbose and colloquial, but he said that rather like a taxi driver charges a premium for "soilage" if Sir or Madam has a bit too much to drink and makes a mess, he charged "gloopage" ...

Holts tyre stuff does a good job for a fraction of the price of the official AM solution.

Never used the Aston stuff but did have to use the Porsche stuff. It was rubbish didn't work and made a real mess of the wheel arch side of the car which I then had to clay to remove it.

Called the AA out and the guy put in what he used Slime, you can get it anywhere on line and Halfords, it worked a treat. The tyre fitter said if you just use slime its no problem and cleans off easily.

You can even get a kit for £25 That includes a compressor.

This. Used it on a motorbike, in France on a Sunday. There was no other option. Inflate tyre back up, checked every stop. Even held up under speed whistle

I have the Holts stuff in all my cars, but thankfully never had to use it.

Can anyone qualify if the Holts is Slime or Gloop?

Is there a brand name for the slime?

My wife's car was going in for a service with Porsche last week and I checked the tyre sealant, which was out of date.
I ordered this from Amazon, its much cheaper and it can be washed out of the tyre.
The original Porsche sealant is same as the VAG sealant and you had to remove the valve core to use it, which you do not need to do with the Amazon stuff.
