2019 5-series. Can you turn the radio off with ignition?
Discussion
So, my old 2015 5-series used to kill the radio/idrive when i turned the engine off. If i wanted it back on, i'd just turn the ignition back on and it'd come back.
My 2019 leaves the radio (and ignition for that matter) on until I open the drivers door? Sometimes it doesnt even turn off at all. Say I stop, and then turn my music off and back to radio, then it stays on and stays playing until I actually lock the car?
Can i have it so the radio turns off when i turn the engine off? I've tried all the idrive settings I can think of, and cant get figure it out. Surely there must be a way? It's one of the little things that drives me bonkers.

If it’s anything like my 3 series, with the car running, the 1st press of the start/stop button turns the engine off.
A second press of the start/stop button, turns the ignition/radio off.
(Unless you have your foot on the brake, in which case, you’ll restart the engine
)
If you’ve got the app with the owners manual, or if you can access the manual on I drive, just search “ignition”. It goes on to explain the various ways the ignition will automatically/eventually shut down, if you haven’t turned it off yourself.

Thats what my old one did. Second press kills it all.A second press of the start/stop button, turns the ignition/radio off.

But in the new one, second press tries to start it again (wtf) and it tells you to get on the brake to make the engine start.
The manual isnt very clear. I guess its just a stupid feature i'll have to live with.

Come to a rest . Press the start button take your foot off the brake pedal and then press the start button again. It will then kill the ignition and radio.
Yep, doesnt work. This is what my F10 did but it appears the G30 cant be turned off unless you push and hold the volume button in
