UK is in a recession but for how long?
Discussion
We will be out of it pretty quickly in technical terms. The recession has been driven by forced shutdown of the economy, so equally as industries get back to work there will be significant growth. The growth will of course be a bounce back from a huge contraction rather than real growth.
The more important question is the longer term effects and how quickly we recover to pre Covid times. I suspect many years.

Agreed, the bounce is likely to have a long tail. The more important question is the longer term effects and how quickly we recover to pre Covid times. I suspect many years.
