Anyone else not able to sign into their Ebay account? For the past two days I've had the message 'Sorry, we ran into a problem - please try again later'. Password is deffo correct, it's got me stumped and annoyed as I was watching a camera which is way under market value and I can't bid!

Mine's been fine for months, without any issues.

Is the browser you're using up to date / still supported by eBay? Fairly sure, like a number of sites like YouTube, etc, they've stopped supporting a selection of browsers like IE and if yours is one of them functionality will be a problem.

Another alternative could be if you're using a VPN or a particularly strong adblocker (or combination of blockers) in the browser. Some of them block access to the Google Recaptcha image service, which eBay use for log on confirmation, or put the service into an infinite loop of picture selecting which will cause problems logging in.

Since they changed the look of the log in mine's been flakey. I think if the computer is used for just one eBay account it works ok, I think it's multiple accounts they snooker it. As said, try clearing cookies.

Yeah I get this from time to time, pw is 100% correct. Try a diff browser or reset/ clear cookies on your exisitning one.

I seem to get the “oops your password is incorrect, try again message”. Retyping just brings up the same and verification pictures. Cleared cache and cookies to no avail. Now just press the ok button a few times after the first failed attempt and it works. All very strange.

Well - the problem disappeared just as mysteriously as it had arrived. Opened Ebay and it went straight into my account - no login needed. Missed the camera, though, so on the plus side I've saved £500-odd quid and another explanation!

Trying to raise a non payment claim and it doesn't recognize my password as it keeps prompting me to sign in again before I proceed.

The password is correct as I can sign in with it on the home screen

OP, watch out for phishing sites, very convincing emails that may begin "Dear PayPal User" rather than your name. Check the address box for similar sounding site names like ebay.org.uk instead of co.uk...

Have you tried logging in on a new device, ie a phone or Ebay app?
