From what I've read it's unlikely to be for Sale in the EU

Impossible to extend a modern litre bike. 600’s make more sense

For you maybe, but don't consider yourself the center of the universe....

What a load of balls, a 600 is hardly any slower.

Clearly I’m amongst the minority admitting a 200+ bike on the road is just for bragging rights, but give me a 600/750 which allows for more neck wringing every day of the week.

Send me a throttle trace and prove me wrong biggrin

Litre bikes aren't about absolute top speed, they're about the acceleration available at most speeds.

And re the concept of 'neck wringing', basically you mean riding a bike to the limit of it's abilities (or yours) in some romantic dream of the plucky underdog taking the fight to, and the vanquishing of, some mythical monstrous over powered behemoth.

Or, a liter bike can go as slow as a 600 if you want..... but still do things a 600 can't

Truth is, a liter bike can be far more effective at any speed than a smaller capacity bike. This was done to death on a previous thread

Maybe, but, I have always preferred to ride a smaller bike harder, not to say litre bikes aren't awesome, they are. Actually super nakeds are where it's at on anything other than the track for me. I would never be able to fully use 200HP, i learnt that many times falling off with 80-90 biggrin

I'm in the same boat... litre sportsbikes are pointlessly quick on the road.
You are doing jail speeds by the time you get into the power anywhere....

Much more fun having something a bit lower powered.
But then you don't have the bragging rights as you wobble about on your 200hp crotch rocket I suppose!

I can't understand why anyone would want a peaky cramped 600 sportsbike on the road these days, they make zero sense at all.

Don't worry the other half are still awesome, and anyone using the term 'crotch rocket' generally needs a kick in the plums anyway.

I quite liked my 750.

It didn't feel like it was going to murder me if I got carried away.

In my defence though, I've always been this much of a fanny.

It also was stupidly cramped.

I remember the first time I rode my ancient zxr400, I “extended“ for a few seconds, then looked at the speedo... and thought to myself, “hmm...I must change that for a MPH version“
Then I noticed it was in MPH.

Even a lowly 400 can’t be extended on most roads.

There's plenty of us 'extending' our bikes on the roads regularly up here, there are plenty of open roads with no police or cameras to be seen.

Exactly!!

I'll readily admit to being a sometimes, but don't think I'm a fanny!

This is the point thumbup

People who witter on about 'wringing a bike of a lower cc, like a 600 or 750' forget that a simple 400 will achieve speeds that will see you doing bird....

600's will do 160+
They can also do 70. As can a 1000cc+

Idiotic argument

I’ve had 600s and 1000s and enjoy both of them, a modern 1000 handles just as well and is just as easy to ride as a 600, anyone who wobbles about on one would be wobbling on a 600 too.
