insurance claim fault decided but I was never told

Back in October 2019 I was involved in a small accident I was parked and someone reversed into me. My car was in gear and the impact somehow made it so the car wouldnt come out of gear the car was written off and I was told i wasn't at fault. That was the end of communication from my insurer I never received my excess back it never seemed worth chasing up since they told me I'd have to pursue the third party insurers myself.
Today I got an email from my current insurer telling me that they need to speak to me because I have an at fault claim against me. Obviously I have complained to my old insurer and will contact them when they are open is there anything else I should do?

until it is fully settled it will be at fault, probably going to court ring up your old insurance co.
