my g/f,s friends (3 babes)are coming to london for a week in august,they are looking for somewhere to stay near london (prefer near heathrow so we can meet up) that dosnt cost a fortune and has good transport links to central london,any ideas travel lodge etc???

I live in Farnborough - send photos and I'm sure we can come to some arrangement... I'm a bit skint so I can't afford to pay too much!

Park Hotel, Teddington. About 20 minutes by cab from the airport, and mainline station 2 minutes walk away (1/2 hour to Waterloo). Weekday rate is about £75. Used it for my overseas visitors many times.

When I first came to London I stayed at a B&B in Victoria, central location and right next to a rail hub. £30 per night for a single room, cheaper rate for staying for a week or longer as well. Place was a bit of a dive but generally you get what you pay for. Paddington might be worth a look as well.

Does your bed not fit 4 people? Think of the possibilities!

I’m sure Surrey rolling road is a lovely hotel but I don’t think most women are that impressed by the sound of performance engines at full chat.
