Meta M99 and hot start issues.
Discussion
I see that on another thread there we discussions regarding Hot Start issues, so rather than muddy that thread I started this one.
I had intermittent starting issues so added a relay to remove the load on the alarm, all good for a couple of months. Then it stopped turning over at all. So bypassed the circuit completely and things worked perfectly. I then had to take the car off the road, for other reasons, so have taken the opportunity to take the alarm apart. There are 4 identical sized relays, 3 Siemens V23072-C1061-A203 and 1 Siemens V23072-C1061-A208. Searching the net I can't find the exact spec for these.
More interesting possibly is that on the main circuit board there is a very small track which has burnt out. I'lI will try and remove the relays and test them. I'll also try and see what the burnt track controls,
Anyone taken one of these alarms apart and seen anything similar?
