Probate valuation rally car

I'm sorting out an estate myself which has been relatively straight forward to value as it's cash, transferring to a spouse or a car I've sold.

The only difficult thing is a rally car which needs to be valued, my rough estimate is that its worth about 20-30k but there really isn't much of a market for it and nothing similar is fpr sale right now.

Unless its valued at about double my guess then IHT shouldn't be an issue. I do however want to keep it and would want to use the valuation to then work out how other beneficeries of the estate should split proceeds.

Google hasn't been much help so just wondering if there is any advice, can any old solocitor do this or are there specialist companies that I'm missing that can do this???

Auction house for motor stuff, and get a formal probate valuation? Who are the beneficiaries? Family, open and honest conversation, second level family and friends, get paperwork, be open and above board. Charity beneficiary - sell it at auction, and buy it yourself, because those bloodsuckers will want RRP for every item

What Rally Car is it? My business partner has bought / sold several rally cars so I can ask him for a steer in the right direction if you want.

Keeping it simple though, I’d just look at ads for similar cars and value it that way. I’ve not been an executor before so can’t comment whether that would hold up, but it passes the reasonable test to me

Beneficiaries that this relates to are my siblings so no issues there.

The car is a fiesta r2 60 plate with a r200 conversion which is rare but it is basically an r2 car. There are none for sale at the moment and I can't find a recent advert anywhere for any that have sold which is where I'm really struggling.

Thanks classicfred. Your searching skills are a lot better than mine as I had only found that south african one. I know two of the people with the other ads so can probably get some dates etc. from them.
