Well at least it will be exclusive. I will keep my Carrera S if there is not a high demand for it

I'm in, placed my Deposit last week.
Not sure if to keep it or sell it. I'm sure it would be a great car with 350BHP, but 295BHP a bit weak

Whats the chance of selling quick and making a few K?

I'd be careful of speculating on these. Not sure it will work unless you get super early delivery.

Get what you'll enjoy, I doubt theres much money to be made on any of them! Having said that, the caymann might well have solid residuals for a while, the boxster certainly did.

I was momentarily tempted by a cayman, but its not really what I want, so I'm back on for a GT3 or GT2

seriously - Mk1 GT3 - same money, whay a cayman? Same number of seats and iconic 911 status.

Just a suggestion.....

Better & more modern interior and handy hatchback boot.

Then I realised I wasn't a hairdresser.

GT3 test drive lined up for Sat. Not managed to find a GT2 to test drive within reasonable travel distance. It may all end up on hold for a bit as I'm getting married in 4 weeks and then away for 3 more.

Need to put the noble up for sale too, assuming Sat's test drive convinced me its 996 time.

I was really only looking at a Cayman because I fear it may take sales away from the 997. If so it will affect 997 residuals and therefore I would rather preempt that fall than wait to be hit by it.

As for a Mk 1 GT3 I do really like them and assume it is very similar to a MKII that I drove around Donnington. My problem with them though is that when it comes to sale time they are very specialist and can hang around for ages. Aesthetically I like the MKII more, so if they start to drop a little more I could well be tempted.

sounds like u have plenty of dollars.forget the cayman keep the s and buy a 430 for the weekend

In my dreams I could run two of these cars at once. The 430 is truly gorgeous but I could not bear the thought of servicing and maintenance on a Ferrari the way I drive and the mileage I like to do.

It is a crying shame that you can't drive a Ferrari a decent mileage without getting absolutely hammered on residuals. This is also true of the GT3RS which I absolutely adore but since all of the second hand ones have the sort of mileage I would do in one weekend of looning, theres no point getting one of those either.

Deposit down. Will decide nearer the time (spring 2006) whether to go ahead with it.
