Came across this having a tidy.

Clearly made of silver or plated as it had tarnished a little.
I must have bought this or been given it back in the day (I have not had a DB9 since 2010!).
Anyone remember what they cost new?

£5, I will take it off you for £10

Seriously - please pm me if you do want it to go to another db9 owner, i.e. me. I am also on the lookout for a db9 transponder watch if you have one of those knocking about also. smile

In sort-of-related, I randomly found an auction on the official leather pouch for the glass key, if someone is interested. Bids are sitting at 24€ as of now, with 6+ days to go.

https://www.ebay.it/itm/Aston-Martin-Genuine-OEM-B...

Prices are around 100€ new, I still have the invoice of mine. I am not at all involved with this auction, just a heads-up. wink

Probably somewhere around £15-20k if I ever find one. I have a watch dealer looking but nothing so far, I wonder how many were made?

can i ask a daft question - how exactly are you supposed to use this key ring with the emotive keys ?

Once the key is in the pouch - why would you need a keyring ?

Not quite, there is a DB9 specific AmVOX Transponder watch (with the DB9 logo on the face) that can be coded to the car so you can unlock it with the watch. Completely pointless I know. I found one in the states a couple of years back listed for $20k but didn’t investigate it.

Not all DB9s had the ECU. My first two had normal keys.

My 2014 DB9 has a glass ECU and the kind people at the dealership gave me a key ring to go with my new purchase. I also pointed out that the gift was a bit superfluous, there being no attachment point on the ECU. There is a loop on the £££ leather pouch (not supplied with the car !!) if you really want to use a key ring.

This makes me sad after letting my DB9 go.

Yep, like this.
